  • GHF along with veterinarians from different parts of the world, technical personnel and volunteers will be in Granada, San Juan del Sur and adjacent communities from October 23 to November 2 conducting a free spay/neuter week for local residents. They will be sterilizing animals and educating the local population on the needs and proper care of animals. We will be visiting local schools to provide animal welfare and humane education and teaching students about the "5 Freedoms of Animals" and How to Care for their Cat/Dog.
  • GHF members and volunteers will be donating veterinary supplies and equipment to local veterinary clinics during this time.
  • GHF will be filming the spay/neuter week and school visits as part of a video series they will be producing.
  • GHF’s educational volunteers will also be conducting interviews with local schools and businesses in order to prepare for an upcoming educational pilot program focusing on academics, environmental issues and conservation of local resources and animals.
